PRODUCT SHAPE / BLOCK MAGNETS
Custom Neodymium Block Magnets to Engineering Specification
A block magnet route for length, width, thickness, edge condition and the fit or clearance the assembly depends on.
Drawing-led review preferred. A clear written requirement can start the discussion when a drawing is not ready.
ENGINEERING SNAPSHOTKeep the requirement visible from review to release.
Envelope and fit context
N25 to N52 stated range
Phosphating can be considered
Drawing preferred for review
01 / BLOCK ENVELOPE
Define the block before production.
The three primary dimensions are only the start. Add reference faces, edge breaks, chamfers, fit, clearance and any orientation marks needed by the assembly.

Length, width and thickness
State the finished envelope and the dimension that controls the assembly.
Edge and corner condition
Call out chamfers, radii or sharp-edge restrictions.
Fit and clearance
Identify the mating feature and the critical clearance.
Magnetization direction
Mark the required pole orientation against a reference face.
02 / MATERIAL DECISIONS
Carry the application into grade and coating.
The stated material range is a starting point. The final grade, coating and dimensional basis remain conditional to the application and approved specification.
03 / MANUFACTURING AND QUALITY
Let the feature drive the route.
Machining, coating, magnetization and inspection should follow the dimensions and assembly features that matter. A block drawing makes those handoffs explicit.

Coating
Selected treatment must work with fit and operating environment.
Magnetization
Direction and polarity travel with the latest drawing.
04 / ENGINEERING HANDOFF
Make the block drawing reviewable.
Share the latest drawing, application, quantity, coating and inspection expectations. A clear written description can start the discussion when the drawing is still in progress.
Part definition
Envelope, features, reference faces and tolerance.
Application context
Assembly position, environment and magnetic function.
Commercial basis
Quantity, annual usage and sample expectations.
BLOCK MAGNET / REVIEW BASIS
Start with the block envelope.
The useful first step is the geometry that controls the assembly.
